Class I — Light vehicles with or without a trailer. Includes motorcycles, cars, bakkies, minibuses, and SUVs. This is the fee most drivers pay.
Class II — Medium heavy vehicles (2-axle, designed for more than 16 passengers or fitted with wide-profile tyres).
Class III — Large heavy vehicles or combinations with 3–4 axles.
Class IV — Extra-large vehicles or combinations with more than 4 axles.
