About Carousel Toll Plaza
Carousel Plaza is part of the Bakwena Platinum Corridor concession (commenced August 2001), which also manages the N4 west route to Botswana. The plaza sits at the N4 junction — a major interchange where traffic either continues north on the N1 toward Polokwane, or branches onto the N4 toward Rustenburg and Botswana. The area near the plaza was once home to Carousel Entertainment World, a resort and entertainment complex that gave the plaza its name. North of this plaza, the N1 passes from Bakwena's managed section to SANRAL-operated plazas (Kranskop, Nyl, Capricorn, Baobab).
